Dill Leaf: Dill Leaf, dried it is a very aromatic herb with a hint of celery, anise, and bright grassy notes to it’s flavour. It can be used in salmon and other fish dishes. We harvest our dill as many as 4 times in late July early August before the plants start to set seed.

Greek Oregano: Oregano is a member of the mint family and has much stronger flavor than marjoram, a close relation. Oregano has a peppery slightly bitter flavor which goes well with other strong flavored foods and of course in pasta sauce and pizza sauce. It has even been known to make a peppery tea for many ailments.

Savory Herb Blend: This is our original culinary herb blend that was developed by Grandma Chickadee after a culinary blend that she used often in her cooking. The flavor is built on celery leaf and leek, combined with parsley for color (and flavor) and complimented by sage, thyme, marjoram. It is excellent where ever your dish needs a little something special, especially tasty in soups, stews and gravies.

ABOUT THE COMPANY
The land for our garden was cleared from the boreal forest by us in 1979, so the garden ground has never been contaminated. We have been certified organic by the Organic Producers Association of Manitoba since 2003. But we have always used sustainable farming methods and have never used herbicides, even prior to be being certified.
One of our guiding principles is that we sell only herbs that we grow in our garden or wildcraft in the forests near our farm. We began our herb business by selling at a farmer’s market in Edmonton in the early 1990s. Although we are now selling in many natural food stores across Alberta , BC and other provinces, we only sell our own herbs because we want guarantee our customers that the herbs they bought came from our farm.
